Rocket Extract (Eruca Sativa) – Rocket (a.k.a. roquette or arugula) is an edible annual plant that has gained much popularity in the United States in recent years but has existed primarily in the Mediterranean regions for centuries even back to Biblical times. Historically, besides being used as a crop, it was also regarded as a medicinial plant to cure several ailments including skin conditions, eye infections, and digestive problems. It is packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. It contains high levels of Vitamins A and K and Beta-Carotene along with essential minerals such as potassium and calcium. Trace minerals also present are zinc, which is essential for wound healing, iron, copper, manganese, and selenium. Why is it called “rocket”? Because it shoots up like a rocket when it is growing.

Grape Seed Oil (Vitis vinifera) – is rich in antioxidants especially vitamin C and vitamin E as well as resveratrol, flavonoids, and linoleic acid. These help to repair and soothe skin, as well as keep it from aging prematurely. It is readily absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. The oil is derived from expeller pressed grape seeds.

Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima)- is rich in vitamins A, D and E, lecithin and potassium. It has wonderful emollient properties and is easily absorbed into the deep tissues of the skin.  It is known to regenerate the skin and soften the tissue and helps in hydrating and nourishing skin that is dry, mature, and affected with eczema and psoriasis.

Sunflower Seed Oil (Helianthus annuus)- has been used topically on the skin to promote wound healing. It is high in linoleic acid (which has anti-inflammatory and moisture retention properties), and contains vitamins A, D and E and is rich in calcium, zinc, potassium, iron and phosphorus.

Zea Mays Oil -is used as a skin protectant that keeps moisture from escaping the skin. It is derived from corn and is used for its emollient and emulsifying properties.

Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera)- has recently come into the light as an excellent natural oil for overall health. It’s goodness is attributed to the variety of healthy fatty acids such as lauric acid, carpric acid, caprylic acid, linoleic acid, oleic acid, and the poly-phenol gallic acid. Vitamin E, Vitamin K and iron add to its list of benefits. Coconut oil is an effective moisturizer for all types of skin, including dry skin. Its antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, soothing properties aid in the prevention of dryness and flaking of the skin, is anti-aging, and helps in the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis.

Jojoba Seed Oil (Simmondsia chinensis )- is a moisturizer and emollient and is noncomedogenic (doesn’t clog the pores). It is easily absorbed into the skin without feeling greasy and has been used by Native Americans to heal the skin of different ailments such as eczema and other dermatitis. Jojoba is not actual liquid oil; it is a waxy ester which comes from seeds of desert shrubs.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)- is derived from the crushed nuts of the karite trees from the African savannah. It is rich in Vitamins A, D, E, and F, which help keep skin balanced and healthy. Vitamins A & E are known for their antioxidant qualities. Vitamin D promotes skin cell growth. Vitamin F comes in two forms, omega-3 and omega-6, which is responsible in repairing and creating the body’s tissue. It is also rich in essential fatty acids which help with skin renewal. It also an anti-inflammatory and will soothe the skin and restore elasticity.

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice (Aloe Barbadensis )-  has been regarded as a healing botanical for centuries with its antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and would healing properties. It is used to moisturize, soothe and calm the skin from sunburns, insect bites and skin irritations and has been found to be great for dry and sensitive skin.

Pumpkin Seed Oil (Cucurbita Pepo)-  packs a punch from its humble stature. The biggest benefits to the skin are the very high levels of natural antioxidants and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Vitamin E in the form of gamma-tocopherol, Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acid oils, along with minerals, such as zinc, all work together to protect, moisturize, lubricate, and repair the skin.

Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus amygdalus) – is well known as a carrier agent for essential oils used for massage. It is non-greasy and easily absorbed into the skin and is known to be a humectants, by promoting the skin’s retention of water. It is also nutrient rich with Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and is extremely rich in vitamin E. Almond oil is also known to relieve dry, flaking and itchy skin due to eczema, psoriasis, and rashes.

Cucumber Extract (Cucumis Sativus) – is well known for its skin softening and soothing qualities.

Elder Flower (Sambucus Nigra) – promotes healing, boosts immune system, and is used for hard-to-cure skin irritations by calming skin.

Mallow Extract (Malva Sylvestris) is a flowering herb features purple or red flowers and round, lobed leaves.  Mallow Extract is known to reduce skin irritation and is an emollient for dry skin.

Comfrey Extract (Symphytum Officinale)   is beneficial for skin health by decreasing inflammation and promoting skin reconditioning.
